When announcing that he would no longer seek public office in September of 2019 Bob Howey told the Trenton Tribune that “Despite my sincere efforts, I realized that one person’s vote is not enough to have the impact required to make the changes necessary to create a sustainable future for the city.”

How can voters trust Howey when he openly admitted that he could not make a difference? That is a good question. During his time on the city council, Howey voted against 7 budgets while pension costs and city debt went unaddressed.
